Product Overview

The Schlage Electronics Gate Control Kit (GCK400) can eliminate the need for trenching in gate control applications by providing a wireless solution to reduce installation time and cost. It is ideal for parking lots, airports, military bases and garages. The kit is comprised of the wireless reader interface (WRI400) which connects to a reader and transmits the signal to PIM, the panel interface module (PIM400-TD2) which receives information through the antenna and sends it to the access control provider panel for confirmation, an omni-directional, flat panel, remote indoor/outdoor antenna (ANT-REM I/O) with adjustable mount, an antenna grounding kit (MGB+MCA5) and a 12 VDC power supply (593PI-12DC). Compatible with most popular Wiegand or Clock and Data format credential readers on the market today, the wireless reader interface (WRI400) provides the local termination point for the reader connection. It sends and receives signals wirelessly with a range of up to 1000 feet in clear line of site to the remote antenna. A hardwired connection of antenna to the PIM400-TD2 then allows the signal to be transmitted on to the access control panel for confirmation. Distance to the reader can be enhanced significantly by the use of a high-gain antenna and/or repeater. The GCK400 gate control kit complements and expands the AD-Series platform by bringing wireless access control to applications that are difficult to reach with a traditional wired approach.
